While I understand and can appreciate number 3 if you have the money to pay off that credit card a few people would argue to pay your deposits by credit card if possible so if an issue arises with the quality of service or anything you may be able to dispute the charges with your creidt card company! But i understand what they mean in number 3 some people may feel like if its on the card they can pay little by little and credit card compaines get you on the interest!

I think there's a typo in number 4.

"...especially when it comes to the food for the ceremony. "

we used credit cards, but paid them off immediately after the wedding...plust i think this is safer, as mhanna mentioned, in regards to disputing charges....should it come to that....

plus we earned a TON of points on our card by paying for most of the wedding expenses with it!

We used credit cards as well but paid off the balance in full every month.  Using the cards to pay for almost everything to do with the wedding allowed us to earn enough points for an entire honeymoon!!

But I see the point of saying not to use credit cards and do not advocate doing so unless you've got the money to pay it off every month.

#3, that's how we are doing it. No check or cc, just cash and payment every so many months till the venue is paid.

I'm actually using my credit card for most of the wedding but I always pay my cc bill in full. I'm doing this on purpose because I want to earn frequent flyer miles on my credit card for the honeymoon or some other trip in the future.
