well, I was once a bridemaid and the dress that I had to wear was terrible.....it had toul and velvet. My friend (bride) bought the dress...everything was her way or the highway. Being a good friend I agreed to wear the messed up ballerina dress she chose. Her dress was a beautiful expensive silk dress....when it came time for the pictures to come back after the wedding she realized that even though her dress was gorgious; standing next to us in the photos made her look awful......Ladies there is nothing wrong with having your BMs look just as good as you...the myth that if your BMs look just as good as you that no one will pay attention to the bride is not true....no matter how good they look even if they look better....everyone's attention will always be on the bride...that is why your guest are there. If your girls look beautiful tha will only make you look magnificent. My MOH and BMs are awesome...I chose three....my mother-in-law, my 2 sister-in-laws. my fiance's father is the one walking me down the isle (he is like a father to me already). Another thing I would like to add is....ladies it's not just YOUR DAY, it's your husbands day as well....ask him what he wants (and I'm not talking about picking two different things that you like and asking him which one, all he will say is whatever you want) Men want their ideas as well in the wedding...the only reason why they don't get involved is because I noticed woman tend to just run off and plan things their selves...before you take advice about what to have ask your husband-to-be FIRST!! all decisions should only be between you two!!!  DON'T BE SELFISH...IT IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO TAKE INTO A MARRIED LIFE!

I wish people who post comments knew how to spell.

I got a headache just trying to read that comment. I kept trying to imagine what she (and the people in the story) look like. She HAS to be a teenager.

It is pretty annoying when ladies you know, or are related to, do thhat sort of thing. I was engaged last August, and my wedding is set for the 31st of this coming August. My oldest cousin, who has a daughter of my age, got engaged about 3 weeks ago. She informed everyone that her wedding is on the 31st as well, and is now showing her irritation at people who already agreed to attend mine.

If a gal wants to be like that, let her. Your wedding shouldn't be tarnished by someone who only thinks of themselves. Make your wedding unique and fun. If at the end of the day, you're married to the man of your dreams, your wedding was a succes, and that's all what matters.
