Re-cap

Well, I don't have all my pics back yet, but I thought I'd do my re-cap and share a couple pics I do have.

Friday: I woke up early cause I was super excited to start decorating the hall! I got dressed and was waiting for a couple of my BM to show up when I got a call...One of my bridesmaids had a herniated disk and was completely immobile!!! She was calling to tell me she was not able to come to the wedding!! I was so upset!! Not because I was mad, just upset cause I could hear in her voice how devastated she was. (She's scheduled for surgery now). The only other bump in the day, was my FI truck broke down!!

We all got to the hall and started to decorate. I had such amazing help!! They made my vision come to life and created a beautiful head table and centerpieces. The rehearsal dinner was later that evening. The food was amazing!!! All real Italian food...YUM!!! We gave our gift and thanked everyone. It was really nice.

Saturday: Again, woke up excited!! Headed to the hairdresser with my Mom and Sister and met all my girls. We had so much fun getting hair done, make-up done and drinking Mimosas and eating Croissants. My hair turned out great and everyone looked beautiful! Off to the church! Got to the church and saw my flowers...OMG!!! They were perfect!!! (can't wait to get a pic). We got ready and did pics. It was quite cold out and windy, but the sun did pop out. Finally it was 2:30, time to march down the isle.

Now I will be honest, I love being the center of attention and don't mind at all being in front of people, that being said...I WAS TERRIFIED!!!! My heart started to beat so fast and hard I thought "Please don't pass out Lindsey!!!" I just kept breathing and moved toward the isle. My Dad walked me down and about 2 steps in, I finally relaxed. I think it was because you work so hard to get to that moment, and then finally it's here and you have to process it. lol

The Ceremony went perfect and it was beautiful! We then headed out of the church to greet everyone before pics.

Reception: We had so much fun!! The food was great, and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. We had the Ohio State game on so that scored points with alot of people. We danced and socialized all night. Our DJ was amazing and our cakes (pics in bio) were awesome!! It was such a nice evening.

The only thing about the reception I was mad about, was the people who didn't show were the ones that made such a big deal about coming!! UGH!! O-well. We had about 200 people and It was so nice to see everyone!! All in all, it was a great weekend!

I am so sorry you had no-shows. I think it is tacktless when people say yes and then don't show up and I think they should have to pay for their meal.

That said, I had to do that with my cousin because I got very sick. Just like I have to cancel going to my SIL's. She had a heart attack several ears ago from childhood diabetes. She was 7 when she was diagnosed. Anyways so now when I get sick I know it is better to cancel because I don't know who has weak immune systems and who does not.

How beautiful do you look!? You are glowing! It sounds like you had a wonderful wedding. So sad to hear about the BM, I cannot imagine how bummed and in pain she must have been.

Ah I've been waiting for your recap! I'm so glad you had a perfect day! Congrats MRS! I can't wait to see your pros! You looked so beautiful! :)

Sorry to hear about your BM and sending thoughts her way for a successful surgery and quick healing!

You look so pretty.  I'm glad you had a good time.  I'm so sorry to hear about the no-shows.  That is so rude!  You still have to pay for the no-shows right?  That is just wrong on so many levels.

Congrats Mrs!!! So sorry you had a few bumps in the road, but everything sounds pretty freakin' awesome!! Can't wait to see your pics and more of those gorgeous flowers!

You look beautiful and all-in-all, it sounds like you had an amazing wedding.  Despite the few bumps in the road, I'm so happy that your vision was realized.  I think all of us have no-shows and some of them cannot be helped, but I say focus on the awesome kick butt things that happened and SCORE POINTS for having the football game.  I'm so sure that your guests will be remembering that!  : )

We needed a minimun of 100 people... we actually scaled back inviting a few people to make room for those who we thought reeeeally needed to be there. We had between 80-90 people show, 1 couple made such a big deal about kosher and vegetarian food that I made sure it was going to be there. They didn't show -.-

Really? It just drives me NUTS!
