So we're about to hit the year mark on owning our home and we pretty much now know all the plants that were planted by the previous owners.  Well this random plant shot up a couple weeks ago right in front of the house next to the garage... I seriously wish I would have taken pics.  We figured it was just a late bloomer so we let it grow... well it got HUGE!  Within a week it was over the sidewalk and beginning to cover the garage!

Then the flowers appeared!  I was like... "omg... that's a pumpkin plant"!

We're still not sure how it got there... maybe from the pumpkin we had out for halloween?

Anywho... I hacked the 6-foot long creature to bits and threw it out.  We don't have room for that! lol.  For future pumpkin growers...they love the sun and they grow high and wide extremely fast!  :)

I can't believe that a pumpkin would grow from a halloween pumpkin! Ahhhh....to live in the banana belt... LOL

Lol!! That edit is awesome! Yes, most gourd plants get very big, very fast... Hence my runaway squash previously referenced and exterminated. ;)

And yours probably was from Halloween - we had a pumpkin carving party one year and all the seeds got thrown in the flower bed by my grandma's pool... The next year we had ooooodles of pumpkins!!
