Reception dress?

How many of you are planning on changing into a party dress for the reception or dancing part of your wedding?

I found an amazing Tony Cohen dress that is not crazy expensive, flirty and fun and would be very comfortable and perfect for the dancing portion of the reception and after party. It would go amazing with my wedding shoes and the gold sandals I am bringing as back up and would be perfect with my jewelry and overall look I am going for.

My only concern is that since our event is only 5 hours, I really would be wearing the second dress for an hour or so at the reception and then for the after party afterward (not sure how long that will go!) I am not sure it's worth the expense.

Thoughts?

I personally am going to stay in my wedding dress the whole time.. I figured I bought it.. I'm only wearing it once.. so I might as well wear it the whole time lol

I have a reception dress to change into, not something i can were again though. but all the same, i just saw it & wanted it. And one of these babies will be my "something blue" under my gown:

I definitely could wear it again to another event.

Part of me feels the same way you do ceejay, I am spending all this money on a wedding dress that I really will only wear one day (and not even a full one)

Decisions, decisions...

if u could definately wear it to another event.. I say save it for another event. make ur wedding dress the memorable attire for your wedding night. (I only say this since part of you feels the way I do)

if you like the dress then you should go for it! it's your wedding day and you have to make the most out of it! =) besides, you can wear it again. have your wedding invitations made now!
