I think the right ribbon, bling and thread would do the trick.  Trial and error at this point.  It's very cute.

I would look at claire's or another chain accessory shop for some of the bling, they have very similar flower crystal hair accessories that are inexpensive. They may also have something similar in store that you just need to dress up a little more.

There are also some other posts on DIY brooch bracelets that should have some great resources for picking up the bling.

When you pick out the ribbon make sure that it isn't too slippery so that it will stay in your hair!

Thanks for the help.  I have been trying to find instructions and tips online to no avail.  I really like these though they are too expensive plus I would like to use colored jewels.
