Ever since watching 'Rio' (The Cartoon with the cute blue Macaw.) I've had my heart set on Rio. But i'm worried, would it be a good idea? I want to go during the Carnival time because the FI and I are very social and I believe it would be a exotic place to go. Of course there are always the scary parts of traveling outside of America. But I think it would be the same as traveling to France or London. (Our back up plans he just doesn't know it yet!)

Here is the website in case no one gets what I'm talking about.

I think most any tourist destination is going to be okay as long as you do your homework and are safe/smart about it. Carnival sounds a lot like Mardi Gras - there will be a ton of people and some crazy stuff, you just have to watch out for yourselves. But it looks like a blast, I've always wanted to go to Rio as well, and I've never seen the movie!!

ahhh!!! ever since we watched RIO we want to go to carnival too!!!!! that is by far, my favorite cartoon movie. the way i figure it, there are scary parts IN america, so obviously there are going to be scary parts outside of america. if you stay in your resort, and be cautious of your surrondings, youll be fine! please go. we cant afford to take a trip like that right now, so i want to vicariously live through you!!! and welcome to PW! i dont think iv had a chance to formally welcome you yet :)
