I've always wanted a rose garden!  We're planning on tearing up the bottom of the backyard and putting a rose garden with a bench...some larger trees for some shade..

Well we had some friends over for lunch this weekend and they brought us two yellow rose plants (my fav color).  I'm so excited, because they're plantable!

Matt is going to plant them sometime next week... for now they're thriving in their pot on my window sill.

Man! Those are pretty! I keep telling DH I want to plant some rose bushes, but he doesn't want more obstacles to mow around, lol!

GatorBride...lol... I can relate to mowing obstacles.  My parent's house has a ton of trees in the back.  I felt like I was circling trunks for hours.  :)

dreaday...I have no clue.  lol they seem smaller than normal roses... well, flatter.

I should read that little plant stake.  I'll get back to you on that one. :)

Uh oh better find them a home! My friend taught me a great trick for growing roses: if you drink tea save your used bagsdrie them up. Once you have a cup worth sprinkle it around the base of the plant. I don't know why but they grow great with it:)

Thanks for the growing tip!  I drink a ton of tea... definitely going to start saving the leaves! ;)
