Sigh...and now today...we just got a cancellation VIA EMAIL...3 weeks before our reception...that a couple can't make it even though she's been telling me for months...since the save the date went out...that they would be there.

Now she tells me in an email she has to go to some outreach function for a church she's starting with some other people and its on the same day as our reception and she has to be there instead.  I know stuff comes up and everything but its just frustrating.  They wouldn't understand that she has a prior commitment?????????

And not only that but we're short 10 people (now 12) from our min anyways so that sucks that we have to pay that anyways...its always something.

My wedding is 12/21/10 - the week of Christmas so I made sure to tell everyone EARLY and send the STD's 6 months early and my cousin just told me she cant make it even tho she has been saying all along she will come....she cant get off of work....which is the main reason I told everyone early!!

The messed up part is that she got engaged AFTER me and got married last month and of course I dragged my FI there (1.5hrs away) because I wanted her to do the same for us!

People suck. But I feel like whatever, I had fun with family at her wedding and if she really doesnt want to come to mine, I dont want her there!

Yeah I know what you mean!  I'm trying to be whatever about it too but sometimes its hard when so much work goes into planning your day (as I'm sure you know!) and people just kind of blow it off even though they've known about it for so long!! Its like what other people have been telling me..your wedding/reception will be a blast with or without them!

We had RSVP issues, too.  The main one being people inviting more people - that weren't invited!

Then, we had like 10 no-shows - only 2 of which bothered to notify us the morning of the wedding. The other 8 I have still not heard from - two months later! No apology or nutin'.

sheesh!
