RSVP VENT CONTINUES!!!! What is wrong with people????

I lost it yesterday.  Totally would win the award hands down for Michigan Bridezilla. So far I have received 24 RSVP's. The deadline is today.  We are expecting 150 guest. I went through my list and began texting or emailing people and asking did they receive the wedding invitation.  Two relatives told me yes, but they had not opened it and asked WHEN WAS THE WEDDING????? I said open up the invitation and TELL ME WHEN IS MY WEDDING!!!  Some told me they lost the rsvp's and passed the word along to another person to tell me.  WHAT??? Well sorry, I didn't get that memo! The most famous one is I forgot but I am coming so put me down for one or two. Oh really????? WELL HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT SINCE YOU DIDN'T SEND BACK THE RSVP!!!!!

I went off and the phone calls started rolling in.  If I had known no one would send them back, I could have saved some stamps and money.  It is in poor taste and rude to ignore a wedding RSVP.  There is a lot involved in planning and we spend money to make sure our guest enjoy a memorable event.  This is not a house party or a backyard bbq. Food is priced per person along with table linens, dishes.  My cake was made for 150 people so if guest don't show up or bring people I didn't know were coming, I am going to have too much cake or not enough cake.  Everyone telling me to calm down. NO YOU CALM DOWN AND GET THAT DAMN RSVP BACK IN THE MAIL OR STAY YOUR ASS AT HOME JUNE 30TH!!!!

So sorry ladies! This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING!!!!

I understand!  You have every right to loose it and you are not being a bridezilla!!!  People need to understand that the RSVP isn't just for funs it to help plan your wedding!  People often amaze me sometimes!

I'm exactly dealing with the same issues right now, so I understand you so well. What it is with people...writing your answer on the RSVP and putting in back in the mail right away when you recieve it isn't that complicated?!?!?! Anyway, we'll get throught it, don't discourage yourself!!!

I know its SO disrespectful and so frustrating but you know what SOOO not worth getting upset over. Everyone will find a way to let yuo know...you could email them this if you want...I'm ALL about the subtle hints hehe

tell every single person : i am having the pleasure to be entitled to offer you a ... $ meal at my wedding. since I have to arrange for that treat for you, I have to know NOW if you are coming or not. be aware that if you tell me you are coming and dont show up without being at least half dead, I will NEVER speak to you again and will come and ring your bell each night at 2.00am.

otherwise if you bring people who are not invited, you will be entitled to chose at the entrance of the restaurant/venue to enter or give the invitation to the non invited person but you stay outside.

im hopinggggg, prayinggggggggg, that i dont run into this!! im already mad about non-rsvp-ers, and my invites arent even printed yet!! i set up an email account just for our wedding/rsvps. so atleast, i will save money on stamps haha. i hope they all get back to you!!!

@pavez19 - Thank you! I wouldn't be so frustrated if I at least had an idea of who is coming. For instance, his family has a lot of college kids.  Are they coming? Are they bringing their girlfriend or boyfriend? This happened when we hosted xmas at our house. I was so overwhelmed! We ran out of food because they brought people along with them that were not family. One of his cousins brought her finance's family with them! My aunt did send in her rsvp but she put 5 attending. What five???? She is not married and she doesn't have any kids!

kplusd - I almost wish I would have put in the invitation, text or email me if you are coming instead of spending all the money on the RSVP's and stamps.
