Ok, we all know how people are....

I don't remember where I saw it but one of the brides on here had

you must RSVP by __________ in order to secure your seat (or something like that)

is that too forward? I'm thinking about adding in something like that..

Also we will not be having children at our wedding Instead of putting no children on the actual response card, we are doing an insert for families with children, that says something along the lines "Due to Venue Restrictions, Children between the ages of 2-18 are not permitted to attend".

Our Venue is a Restaurant/Catering not a traditional catering hall.  Cocktails are on a 3rd flr and Reception is on the 2nd stairs open stairs come into play and being the mom on a toddler this in itself freaks me out.. So for safety's sake the little ones are better off at home

What do you guys think...

Honest commentary appreciated...

what about saying something like..." we have reserved __ seat(s) in your honor..please RSVP by _____ ??? and only include the number of adults you are wanting to invite. This lets people know that you only have space for said number of people. Or you can just add..Adult Reception to your invite/rsvp card

just a suggestion.

I second that.....and add the number of seats to be reserved, that way there is no change to change or add another unexpected guest.

There is nothing wrong with not wanting children at your wedding.  Try:

Please RSVP by BLANK DATE , 2011.                              Adults will be attending.

Or

simple add underneath:  NO CHILDREN PLEASE.

I agree with the ladies.
