So I have this old friend from HS that I haven't seen since we graduated that posted this on FB this morning.... I know not to take it personally since I haven't taken mine yet so she doesn't know that I am wanting to take them BUT I think that it is kind of rude....

"Women love to take studio pictures while pregnat, they think it looks good. The reality is....ITS NOT! I find it very unpleasant to look at. WAIT TILL YOUR BABY IS BORN, Im sure youll take enough then."

I just commented this, "I think that they are beautiful and my husband loves them"

Haha I wasn't rude but I think to each their own and she shouldn't post something like that....

Maybe she is just jealous... I agree its unnecessary but unfortunatly FB gives people the ability to post their opinions on whatever they want to talk about regardless of how hurtful it may be...

I agree that those types of pics are GORGEOUS and every woman should do them to showcase their bodies during this amazing time... who cares what she said.

Wow, that's insane! She sounds jealous and bitter, like maybe if she was pregnant she had a not-so-nice bump with stretch marks all over it?

I absolutely LOVE maternity pictures, and plan on doing them for every pregnancy! And I have never EVER heard anyone express that they didn't like them, most people think it is a beautiful way to preserve the memory of your beautiful pregnant body.

EEwwww!!! What a bitch  brat she is. If she doesnt like them, then she doesnt have to do them or look at others who do choose to take them. Maternity pics are beautiful in my opinion. Its a once in a lifetime chance to capture a moment in time. Not every woman has the blessing of being able to become pregnant, and it truly is a miracle when a pregnancy happens. My advice is dont stoop to her level, just ignore her rude, inappropriate comments.

I think you should take a bunch of them.  And post them on FB.  And ask her if she likes them.  But I'm evil like that!  :)

Seriously?  If it freaks her out, she doesn' have to look at them.  And no one is making her take them either...that is, if she finds anyone to knock-up her rude a$$ in the first place.

I admit, just a few years ago the pregnant belly freaked me out. My aunt would always lift my cousins' shirts and tell me to feel their belly and I wouldn't. I did not like the way it looked at all. Now I can't wait to have a baby belly and I think it's beautiful! I would not, however, posted something so rude on something like Facebook when the baby belly was a terrifying concept to me. :)

Wow - she's kinda opinionated, huh? To each his/her own I guess, but I think that her opinion sounds juvenile.  Why even bother writing something like that on FB to begin with?  I agree, she must be single or in a place in her life where she doesn't understand it all yet.

I still think preggie bellies are kinda crazy looking and sometimes I do a double-take at myself in the mirror when Im getting in the shower and think, whoa! who the heck is that??  But, I also want to remember the time I was pregnant with my child.  It's a really special time for you and your partner and if I want to capture that joy in still images then by golly Im gonna!

I mean seriously, why does she even care?  Grouchy McGrouchster if ya ask me... ;)
