S'Mores Bar questions...

I've been seeing lots of cute pictures on here of people planning to have S'mores bars at their weddings. I LOVE this idea, but I'm trying to figure out the practical aspects of how to do this.

My wedding is on January 1, and the reception is indoors.

This page has a lot of pictures of different kinds of bars.

I'm trying to figure out if you would just get sterno cans and build some sort of container to hold them/keep them from tipping over...

or if I should invest in a bunch of mini Hibachi grills (Pu-Pu grills). They're kind of expensive (I'm seeing $30-ish pretty much everywhere) and I'm not sure how you would fuel them.

A) If anyone has used a little hibachi grill like this, and if was effective

B) What would be the safest option for an indoor reception?

P.S. LauraSweet, I know you're looking at doing this, too! I think our minds are totally on the same wavelength... same colors and all!

Before you get to involved with this idea... talk to your venue to see if they will allow open flame with that intention. It might be an insurance risk they do not want to take on.

Definately do what jes said. I was gonna go with a smores bar and was so excited about it and the venue said no so now i'm still sad. :( Find out before you get your hopes up. :)

If you decide to do like the top picture, you could get a pretty potting container (shaped like the one in the pic) and then put your cans in it surrounded by rocks that coordinate with your colors.

I'm probably going to do like the top picture for our rehearsal dinner.

Yeah, that's the one I'm planning on copying.  I need to ask the secretary at the venue if we'll be allowed to do something like that.  I'll see her at church tonight.  I know they have outdoor campfire locations, but I think our reception will be over before dark, so I don't want to do that.

just saw this ..the venue had a fire pit in the courtyard where they had the reception held love how they set up the smores bar!

Please, could someone tell me what smores are?? The pics look like marshmallows TIA Hx
