So I woke this morning to a sharp drop in my temp at 14dpo.  So AF will be here tomorrow most likely.  First round of Clomid was a no go so it's on to round two.  Bummer but to be honest, I was expecting it.

I went in to my PCP last Friday to get a referral for an RE.  I was expecting to wait a while for the authorization and then even longer for an appointment.  But I got a call just now from the RE's office that they received the authorization and need to set up my consult now!  So in two and a half weeks, DH and I will be meeting with the RE!!!  Holy crap.  So it looks like I'll be doing one more round of Clomid with my ob/gyn while waiting for that appointment and then I'll be meeting with the RE right after I O next cycle.  Good timing to get the ball rolling for the cycle after that if this next one doesn't work.

So today I'm feeling a bit sad because we're officially going into the 12th month (13th cycle) mark and to top it off, I'll be turning 36 next month...but I'm also excited to actually be moving FORWARD!  Such a weird mix.  Okay...just had to get that out! :)

glad you got your referral!!! Wow, your cycle seemed to go by so fast!!! I guess it is because mine was  (and still is) so long!

Please keep us updated with how your RE goes....Are you still staying on Clomid 50 mg?

I know...that's the up side and down side of having 25-26 day cycles!  More chances to try BUT it also seems like you're ALWAYS trying!  Never a break!! :)

Not sure about the amount.  I know they usually increase it if you don't O but since I already O, I'm not sure what the protocol is.  Once AF gets here, I'll call to schedule another Clomid check appointment and find out then...

That is very exciting news!!  I'm glad you are getting such quick turnaround and will see what the next step is in just a few short weeks!! YAY! :)  Wishing you lots of luck this cycle, too!

That is great that you were autherized so quickly AND were able to get an appointment!  I felt such relief when I got that first RE appointment.  As hard as this journey is, it is the feeling that I'm moving forward that keeps my spirits up too.  Hopefully then you will get some answers and figure out what to do from there...  But I'm hoping that your 2nd round of Clomid will do the trick before testing is needed!

I am a firm believer that it takes two cycles because the first cycle it is just getting into your system....so now you have it in your system and you will be taking more. I know, it is just a theory and hasn't proven true for everyone...but you already O on your own so the Clomid should be helping even more. That is also great news about your RE...that is fast!!! As always, fingers crossed for you!!!

Yay! So glad you got your authorization and appt so quickly! This will be your year, 36 is a great number! (I'm obsessed with numbers and have told my DH that that I'll be pregnant when I turn 36 this year, haha) In the fertility world, 35+ puts the pressure on us BUT I think maybe we are just taking a little longer than others to prepare for our future little ones... :)

Here's hoping you get an extra special birthday present this year :)

I think it's a good number too! :)  I've always been drawn to the number 3 and 36 is all about them so hopefully this is THE year!
