My father has been sick the last few days. He's been weezing and short of breath on top of common cold/flu symtoms.. well he finially went to the doc today, only to be told to get his rear end up to the ER.. they are now keeping him until farther notice. His' Oxygen is low and he's been running a fever, they took xrays and a cat scan. We don't know much but...... My mom went out and asked for some crakers or something for him since he hasn't ate all day and it's now after 5pm he's getting the shakes.. Well they told her they can't allow him to eat just yet due to looking for blood in his chest or lungs not sure exactally... (mom's not a good repeater...) so they know something is up and have yet to inform us.. I'm the baby of 6 kids.. They won't allow more then 2 people in the room.. it sucks cuz my 2 borthers and myself and my mom were all in there then my brother in law showed and then my uncle (whom does not bother AT ALL) with my father or anyone.. My dad was raised in a forster home, his real family doesn't bother one bit but he found out and showed up.. (nothing wrong just weird) cuz I'm outside on the phone and he's asking me if I'm Gundy's daughter (well said my last name) I'm like yea who are you? Sad when I don't even know my own uncle I saw him like once in my 25 yrs on earth..
ANYWAY.. my dad's on oxygen and has to wear the mask thing for an hour every soo often.. they took tons of blood and now he's waiting to be admited to a regular room. Been in the er since 1230pm and after 5 still in an er room.. crazyness.. but glad he deiceded to stay he wasn't going to. my one bro and i talked him into it.. he's stubbarn.. 65 yrs old hardly ever at the docs.. who knows what is wrong...

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.. I didn't know where else to turn too..
Thank you ladies....

Patty

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know what happens. Hopefully they will move him up to a floor where he can be watched closely until they figure out exactly what's making his oxygen so low.

It can be really overwhelming while in the hospital, but I"m sure he appreciates all of the support he's receiving from his family (even if he's stubborn as you say)

Stay strong!!

thank you for prayers and replying.. he's been moved onto a floor in his room. Today they took off his iv's and he's been breathing on his own, been going through tons of treatments.. Will be coming home with two different kinds of inhaulers (better then oxygen)... They found 2 starting stages of blood clots one in each lung. They've been giving him blood thinners, along with the other meds..

they say probally Wednesday for coming home. So we're praying he can be home for Thanksgiving.

thank you again. I will keep ya's updated..
it is overwhelming just the thought of someone especially a father being in the hospital. He hasn't ever been in a hospital for anything, he doesn't go to the doctors or anything like that... (goes to show why we had no clue about this but very lucky and happy they found it now rather then later..) they are the starting stages so it could be worse...

thanks again

Wow, I'm so glad to hear that they figured out waht was going on and are anticipating he can come home quickly. I personally think its worse when the family has no clue why their loved one is sick-- especially if they're havinga  hard time breathing.

I'lll keep you in my thoughts, and wishing your dad a speedy recovery!

thank you all!! he's home!! he's on 2 different inhaulers and alot of meds.. but doing good, not on any restrictions other then to quit smoking. He is on the patch, and I will be ordering this e-cig for him to help stop the little urge he gets still while on the patch.. that little craving will be fulfilled with this fake (healthier) cig..
So just very thankful for him this thanksgiving and many more to come.. THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and thoughts it ment alot..
