Heya Ladies,

For those who are still looking for your dress - i highly recommend visiting amandalina's boutique in woodbridge ON.

They are having another one of their twilight sales TOMORROW between 6pm-11pm where ALL dresses are $499. Even the ones that are $2K.

It is definitely worth to check out if you dreamed of owning a designer dress, but previously could not afford one.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Is that where you got your dress from?

Yup, and also my MOH (who is engaged) got hers there :) highly recommend a visit. There is a girl there - Rania. She was super helpful and patient both times. If you tell her you know Iris she will no doubt help out :)

Miss_em - i think i know what you are talking about. Some of the sales ladies there can be a little harsh, so it depends who you have helping you. Besides this girl Rania (who is super nice) the other ladies are older, and more... Italian? I don't mean it in a bad way, but just mean to say that they don't have as much patience for picky brides :) Hope i didn't offend anyone out there :)

I've also heard that they really rip ppl off w/ alterations.

My FSIL was telling me a story how she was part of the Knot and one girl was venting about them and they were lurking and sent her a very threating letter telling her not to share any experiences of hers online (???) and then they held her wedding dress hostage and wouldn't give it to her until 2 days before her wedding. Everytime she went in they kept saying "they couldn't find it" and made every excuse up in the book.

OH, and the original reason why teh girl was venting on the Knot was b/c they charged her cc twice for her deposit and refused to give it back....even when she brought in her statements.

My GF tried to buy a dress there during their trunk show...she didn't want to buy it b/c she wanted her mom to see it first. So they said they would hold it if she put a $200 deposit on it. So she did and when she went back - they sent her dress BACK with the tradeshow and refused to refund her $200!!

My coworker also has a few horror stories....

I am REALLY glad you had a good experience!!!

Wow! Miss_em, it does not sound like the same experience at all!!!!

However, i did not deal with them for my alteration (planning to take it to a russian seamstress) and didn't have to deal with deposit money since i paid in full for the dress. Wow - that's an insane difference in experience!
