don't laugh...we are getting my bridal set from walmart.com.  they have much more of a selection online than in the store. i was reading reviews about the set I am getting...one lady bought it and had it appraised by an independent jeweler.  bought for $750, appraised for $1500. sometimes walmart works. :P

My partner and I are doing ebay as well. I found her and my amazing E-rings on there and we will be looking at getting matching bands for the wedding on ebay as well. You can find some amazing deals on there... just have to be careful that you read feedback and reviews first :)

We didnt do this, but if you have them in your area, wal-mart is probably the same way, but Meijer (www.meijer.com) buys all the overstock unsold jewelry from jewelry stores and thats what they sell. (We have a friend who is a General Manager at a store) Same for wal-mart, you buy a set for 500.00 or whatever and its worth way more than that. They run sales all the time for 70% off.

Or you can buy your ring with a CZ and go here:

http://www.diamondnexuslabs.com/loose_gemstones.php

We have a friend that used to work at Helzberg and she said they couldnt even tell the difference unless they tested it. Looks real to the eye, flawless diamond. Its what we got for my center stone .86 carat isnt a cheap diamond but we loved my ring so much that I didnt care. No one knows its fake. My anniversary present someday will be a real stone, but this works for now and I dont regret it at all.

I'm glad I'm not the only sportin' a CZ ring!  To be honest, I think a CZ sparkles more than an actual diamond anyways...and yes I got mine from Wal-Mart too.  FI wasn't too happy and thought I deserved more than that (awe moment...) but that was the set that jumped out at me and I liked it alot.
