Semi because I drew up my idea from this inspiration.
I wanted something that will represent the things that we like and enjoy doing together... obviously, the 12 cupcakes are not enough but I did the best I can and chose the ones we did recently or are significant to our 1st anniversary
(10/30/11).
Here's my crappy drawing =P I was going to submit this to a local bakery but looking around online, I think it was going to cost me more than $100. =O I think I would be embarrassed to get 12 cupcakes for that price. =P I wish
I can make my own... really.

But luckily, to have very talented friends such as Jen from www.cupcakemakes.com. I gave her my drawing and told her every little detail that I want
on each cupcake and she made my vision come to life! So if you need any crafty stuff and custom cakes, feel free to contact her or drop by her website and tell her to make more awesomeness!
Jen's excellent work:

Details
1st: Curling cupcake - We are members of the Hollywood Curling Club based here in L.A. since 2008 and play a Sunday league with our
friends including Jen, who is a member of the Bond Girls (they have been invited to participate at the World Curling Tour in Scotland!).

2nd: "Happy" made out of Scrabble/Words with Friends tiles. We love playing against each other... when we get good letters. =P

3rd: Well, 1st anniversary =)
4th: Trail sign - represents our hiking trips. Most recent hike was in Hawaii on our honeymoon, we took the grueling Kalalua Trail.

5th and 8th: LA Kings and Philadelphia Flyers hockey logos. Hockey is one of the many things my husband introduced me to. We both enjoy going to the games except when they play against each other then, we
either fight or pretty much don't talk until after the game. =P

6th and 7th: Anniversary banner with our first date and wedding date imprinted on.

9th: From our recent trip to Hawaii for our long overdue honeymoon. We went to O'ahu and Kaua'i for 10 days and did a lot of activities there from here and here.

10th: Ghostbusters from our first date. We went to see a re-run of the movie in 2006 and then again, recently with Ecto-1!

11th: LOVE Park in Philadelphia where we got engaged, with the date imprinted on.

12th: Taiko symbol. My husband is a member of a taiko group based here in LA under the instruction of TAIKOPROJECT. Our yearly presence at the Japanese community has become a big part of our lives... even though
we're not Japanese =P We did meet a lot of great friends and some of the best musicians out there.
