Hey ladies,

Heres a great idea to add some color to your table.  You can use tin cans covered in fabric as a vase and place your flowers in the cans.  Who doesn't have a pantry full of canned food....recycling is good for the environment and for a budget savvy bride!  Here's the link and a picture to give you an idea!

I'm probably going to see if (really when) the can with water will smell.  The last think that I want is a beautiful centerpiece with pretty flowers in it smelling like rust....

If you rub the inside of the can with a coating of Vaseline, it will not smell, and it will not rust. Another thing I know people have done is seal the joins of the can with a hot glue gun, to cover any bits that may smell or be affected by water. The vaseline works, though, I've done it.

P.s.  I'm pretty sure I have tons of these empty cans if anyone's interested.

We found some old wine bottles, mason jars, and ceramic vases. Here's a picture of how our tables turned out- so fun!
