Glue dulls Swarovskis as soon as it gets onto the crystal surface so the key is to use a miniscule amount of glue to avoid spillage.
I use Hotfix Swarovskis for everything I bling because they have the correct amount of glue and are so easy to use. You can place your stones and iron on top but that's not gonna be much use for shoes so I suggest buying a Kandi Kane. I got mine
for $24 from eBay. It's AMAZING and I use it for everything!
