Ok Coyote :)......I love the idea.....could get a simple dowl piece from Hobby Lobby, but the sign out of fabric is more challenging...than a printed sign from Kinkos that he would just hold.  Lets add this to the" list to do yet" ??  Ok girls, any other variations out there?   I Like the sign idea..They both could walk side by side, only if the dowl piece is shorter...or have the one with the rings first then 2nd with sign right before the bride makes he fairytale entrance.... :)

I would probably just paint it on muslin like an aisle runner and then either sew a space for the wooden dowl or else get that iron on no-sew stuff and do that.

I am making one for my niece's wedding because an aisle runner for the cathedral would break the bank - literally.

We aren't going to use it at the beginning of the ceremony because the cathedral staffers frown upon anything slightly off key - but they will allow something that enhances the wedding.

So her ringbearers (yes there are two - to match her two flowergirls) will carry the rings up on pillows at the beginning of the ceremony but afterwards before the bride and groom walk down the aisle they will carry out a banner that says " . . . and they lived happily ever after."

Iron-on printer paper is probably the easiest thing to do.
