Sleep Number bed owners?

Does anyone have a sleep number bed?

Do you have to buy special sheet sets and bedding?

Do you get a better night's sleep than on a regular mattress?

Did you fit it in a bed frame from a regular furniture store?

I don't have one but have slept on them.  I don't particularly like them because they aren't very comforable.  If they had separate panels (like two twin beds) then they may be ok.  I felt like I was on a waterbed.  You get the setting adjusted properly and then if someone moves, the comfort level changes.

sleep number beds are THE BEST!!! we have one and LOVE IT!!! we have a king size, and it does fit in a regular bed frame- we got the frame for like $60 at Sears. The way the bed is set up is first you have to "build" what would be a "box spring" on a regular bed. It comes w/ instructions, and is super easy. Then there is 2 air chambers, so its technically the size of 2 twin beds together. Each side of the bed is adjustable, so for instance, I like mine super soft, and DH likes his more firm, so we can each adjust our own side. If you go into a sleep number store they will give you a demonstration that teaches you how it works. i don't feel dh move, and he doesnt feel me move, because we are each on our own seperate air chamber. we have regular bedding from regular stores, but they are a little big on our bed (for whatever reason). THey sell sheets/bedding at the sleep number store, and those fit a little better, but are obviously more pricey, so its really up to you. we definitely get by on regular sheets. hopefully this helps. :) lmk if you have anymore questions.....

in my opinion, I tried once at a hotel in Long Island, NY and I had a very bed night.....couldn't figure out about to sleep comfortably, so this bed is a big NO NO for me.

BUMP!  I am desperately looking for a bed that we both can sleep on.  I want it super soft and he wants it very firm.  I went into a sleep number store and tried it.  I liked it.  DH will go and try it this week.  My only concern is, I want to know if there are cons.  I have read mixed reviews about their beds.  Thanks!
