So I took my dress back and they made me try on the super long one they ordered for me and the sample dress (which is still long enough) to show them their error and they have ordered a whole new dress for me which will be in sometime in June. I am so relieved because I hated the dress they ordered for me the whole thing fit different and the fabric laid different from compensating for all the extra length if they had just hemmed it I don't think I would have liked it. So everything seems good for now. Hopefully it will come in perfect.

I just got home from shopping and there is a message on my machine that my dress is ready to be picked up! I'll let you know how it goes (and how tight it is haha) Thank you girls again for being so supportive.

I just got home from picking it up! The length is perfect the dress fits good... I don't know am I the only one not 100% in love with my dress anymore? I LOVED it when I bought it and it's just like the sample but I see so many other dresses now that I don't like it as much? Does this happen to anyone else?

Oh you by far are not the only one. I bought my dress....loved it in the store (well kind of, actually my teenage daughter was aggravating me and I just wanted to get outta there) brought it home, looked at it several times, then decided I hated it. I called the store where I bought it and asked them if I could exchange it, they said fine.....so that's what I did and now I LOVE the one I have!

By the way....my daughter did NOT go with me the second time...lol

Ha ha! I feel like since I made my decision on the dress I've changed my mind and now I like something else (nothing particular I would just like the option to like other dresses I think). I feel like I'm doing that with EVERYTHING! My wedding colors, my flowers... I feel like I'm driving myself crazy changing my mind because it HAS to be perfect. At what stage in the planning process do I say F*%K it and continue on like a normal person?

I wish I could answer that for you, but since I started planning my own wedding I all of a sudden out of nowhere suffer from obesessive compulsive disorder! The one thing I am positive about is my colors...I have changed my favor ideas and music about a billion times (in the past week ha ha). The one thing I had to realize with my dress is that I can "look" at a ton of beautiful ones, HOWEVER, they were much nicer on the hanger if you get my drift. So, I followed the advice of the bridal shop and stopped looking.

My advice. Stop looking. Seriously, unless you want to be a two dress bride (or in my case a FIVE dress bride). Same goes for other decisions you've made...once you've made them stop looking at bios, magazines, websites, etc. Stick with your gut instincts and you'll be one happy bride!

I am glad that you got the dress things sorted out. That is encouraging.
