I can understand why you are mad.  Her reasoning though makes me think she is preggers and doesn't want to tell people that yet. 

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear about that - RSVPs are frustrating at the best of times, but that kind of excuse is just rubbish! Maybe hmz819 has a point... there must be something she's covering up with that lame excuse, especially after they initially said they WOULD be coming.

But yeah, just try and find another friend, work buddy or whoever to fill their place if you're paying for it anyway.

R u serious????...I have been tired lately...WOW!!! that was an excuse?? I would definetly use that back on her for something. Man the RSVP drama I am having is ridicluous, but ppl don't realize how selfish they are when it is done to them. I have one person a close friend who I actually complained to  aboout how ppl are trying to add additional ppl and substitute ppl who didn't RSVP, and you know she had the nerves to say she wanted to bring someone else b/c she don't know the area, and it is supposed to make me feel better becasue she remebers me, but I don't remeber her like who does that? Man I told her I will se of course I'm like hell to the no.

ARG! That makes me mad, too. We had more than one wishy-washy person tell us they weren't coming, then they were coming, and of course they didn't show up in the end. So here I paid $4 a chair to have empty seats at my wedding!

Ugh... thank you ladies....I stayed cool and calm about it.... there isn't much I can do, their seats are paid for and they will be empty... if she can live with that then our friendship is not what I thought it was.

Hmz... who knows? She could be... but I would have loved a better excuse and by phone at least... it was done over facebook for crying out loud! :(

I'm just hurt and angry..... but I'm trying focus on the positives!!
