So ladies... I have my very first Substitute Teaching position coming up in 2 days!! Its a full day with Grade 6s! I'm so excited... but so nervous at the same time! I don't know these kids... and I've been staring at the curriculum trying to make sure I know everything lol and I'm hoping the teacher will leave me some info! I know I can do it....but I don't know how to ease the butterflies for my very first teaching position!!

Any advice??

Just relax...kids know when you're uptight! And remember: 6th graders can be a little immature. Be ready for that! And also, kids don't like subs who are absolute sticklers! Just have fun and roll with it!

Oooh I always forget to update! lol They were great!! The teacher left a very detailed lesson plan for me... which was greatly appreciated!! They actually really surprised me and were attentive, respectful and fun!! :)
