Well, I started the Mollen flu shot clinics.  The first day was a bit intimidating due to all the paperwork, but I've got the hang of it now.  It's not too bad.  Very easy way to make some extra cash, for sure.

Too bad they're only through October here. :-(

Our flu shots at the hospital are already over! Next is the H1N1 shots.

any of you mandated to get the h1n1 shot?  They are trying to mandate us but many are talking of protesting.

I work in NJ - there is a hospital in PA that mandated the regular flu shot for all employees and students in their nursing and medical schools and will prob be doing the same for H1N1.

I sit on our pan flu readiness committee and my hospital has chosen not to mandate the flu vaccine or the H1N1 vaccine - what we are mandating is if you do not get the shot, you sign a declination form and understand that you will still be required to provide care for patients with H1N1.

We are scheduled to have the H1N1 about the middle of the month.  No word on a set date yet.

We're not required to have it ourselves since all our 'patients' are presumably well...

Between the two of us yesterday, we gave 102 shots in 4.5 hours!  We were slammed.  That's by far the busiest one yet.  Hopefully it will be slower today, but not so slow that I'm bored out of my mind.  lol.  I know, Picky aren't I?

Ok, the one Tuesday...120 flu shots...We ran out of gloves, ran out of band aids, ran out of needles...

I took money out of the clinic profits to buy gloves from the pharmacy and the pharmacy was nice enough to give us 4 needles to finish up the people who were already in line.

It was a MESS!
