Good Afternoon ladies!

I decided Friday that I would no longer work my second job. I faxed my resignation Friday and felt relieved and with no regrets. I had been vascillating for a couple of months about quitting. I was sitting at my second job last Monday thinking of DH because he has been experiencing extreme dizziness and I thought, if something happens to my beloved, I can't leave shift. He is my most precious life and there is no way I am putting my clients needs, even though I love them dearly, before his or mine. I do personal care work and if anyone has ever worked in this field or knows anyone who does, you know this is definitely a job that you do because you love it and not for the money. I am tired of piss poor management, staff calling off on their shifts when that is their only job and all the crazy, mindless paper work!

I kept the second job after the wedding because DH got a paycut from his job, had to start paying for health insurance, union dues went up and some other cuts. I told him we would be just fine, I am going to be at home to make sure he is okay! I feel so good I am letting go and letting God. Also I am going to try my hand at starting my crocheting as a business again. I did this years ago and let it go because life just gets in the way!

It sounds like you're happy with your decision and I'm happy for you! It takes a lot of courage to quit. I had so much anxiety leading up to the decision to quit my job, but once I did, I was SO much happier. It sounds like you're feeling that same sense of relief.

Everything will work out for you and your dh. :) I just know it. Good luck sweetie!!

Thank you Rania! I am totally happy with my decision! Sometimes we get scared to take chances!

Thank you Elise! I will update you with my business endeavor. It was doing so well at one point and I stopped doing it because you know how life is!

Hey Tressy,

I know it was a difficult decision to make but stepping out on faith is never a bad thing.  I think you made the right choice.  You will be in my prayers for a lotto win :)  Maybe I will win big in Vegas for you!  You know I would share :)

Tressy, I look up to you! You are one of the strongest, loving, caring, ladies I have ever met! (online anyways) ...I would be having breakdowns left and right! I wouldn't have anything together! Sending you lots and lots of hugs, prayers, and positive vibes! <3

Tressy, having been a direct support professional and an EMT I get it!.

I am now going back part-time to Direct Support because I miss doing something worth-while. I mean I love building websites, but my clients do not appreciate the time I put into it versus that tiny little bit that I charge because they tell me they cannot afford more. $500 for a CUSTOM website with photography/custom artwork and logo design is CHEAP!

So, I am firing a few clients and I am going to go back to direct support. It pays a hell of lot better if you can believe that.
