Hi there,

I am 3 months pregnant and wanted to see what other women recommend for strech mark creams?

I heard that Burt's Bees belly butter is good but wanted to get some more opinions.

Thanks!

Ohh good question :) I also really want to know the same thing.

Right now I use a Shea Body butter cream (super, super thick cream) from Bath and Body Works. It is so, SO freaking moisturizing. I put it on before going to bed and in the morning my belly is still moist. I have no idea how well it prevents stretch marks, but it sure makes the skin soft and I am guessing elastic as well.

The only thing that made any difference for me was Bio Oil, but I don't know if you can get it in the US - you can probably find it online if not.

This is what I photo 3372144-1

This is what I used (38weeks 4 days still no stretch marks knock on wood) it's organic and has an amazing citrus smell.  Keep in mind that whether or not you get stretch marks relies heavily upon genetics and how fast you put on weight during your pregnancy...but the cream always helped me to feel nice and helped ease the itchiness of my ever stretching skin :)

Hope that helps

I've just been using the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark cream and I've had ZERO stretch marks on my tummy.  And I'm already 28 weeks.  So far so good.  Knock on wood for the next 12 weeks though!

I've heard the creams are obsolete and stretch marks can really be attributed to genetics, but it never hurts to use it anyway...plus it helps with the itchiness.

My sister used Palmer's Tummy Butter for all three of her pregnancies and hasn't gotten any strech marks.  I've been meaning to get it, especially since I'm in my fourth month already!

I've been using an intensive therapy body lotion and didn't have a single stretch mark my entire pregnancy and the boom -they appeared suddenly at about 37 weeks and now at 39 weeks the bottom part of my belly is covered :( hope everyone else is luckier!
