What type of stroller did you get? what are your thoughts about it?

I have been looking around I ran across the orbit g2 ($$$$) ouch! although its very practical with all the different seats for different stages. Anyone have one? I found some barely used ones on craigslist pretty cheep considering.

I don't have the Orbit saw it in a store looks pretty cool!

We went with the Uppababy Vista - LOVE it!!!!  We got it when they were clearing out their 2011 models for the 2012.  It was $699.00 we got it for around $500.00.  My friend got hers on Zulily for even cheaper (around $400.00)

We went with that stroller because of 3 main things:

Stride: I am tall (6 ft.) so I needed something that my feet would hit
Rumble Seat option: We want more then 1 child, so this seat basically turns the stroller into a double
Reverseable seat: Love that my son can face out or face me :)

We did get the adpater for the carseat so we could just click the seat into the stroller - it was around $40 and well worth!

**Sigh** I don't want to want the Uppa Baby Vista but I do! It sounds like the perfect stroller EXCEPT for the weight and my need for a one hand fold. I'm not yet in the market for a stroller but I know the top contenders will be the Uppababy and the Baby Jogger City Mini.

DNM it really is not that heavy compared to most and if you use the car seat attachment the first couple of months it really isn't heavy at all!  I think it's the seat that weighs it down a bit. 

I suggest spend some time at a store that has both - push around one and then the other.  That is what we did and that is how I sold DH on the UppaBaby :)

They also have the UppaBaby Cruz that is a smaller, lighter version on the Vista...

Thanks princess, you're right, I need to test drive these strollers. It's just that I live so close to the city and my in laws live in Chinatown so I know that 1) I need to be able to go up and down steps to use the subway and 2) I will be on my own without DH. So lightweight and one hand fold is kinda high on my priorities. I need to contact WMforever, another PWer that lives in the city and owns an UppaBaby Vista. But I do recall her complaining about the weight. And lately as I stalk city mom's w strollers I do see most using the City Mini albeit with older babies, I haven't seen many w newborns. Maybe a carrier is more practical? I dunno. I just got Baby Bargains in the mail so maybe that can offer some insight.

We love our uppa! I will say that I know more than one mom who has an orbit and regretted getting it and wish they got the uppa!
