How do you do stuffing?  

Do you put it IN your turkey?

Add anything or leave it plain?

Gravy?

 I use chicken or turkey broth (at thanksgiving if you boil the turkey giblets it makes a GREAT broth base for stuffing) and always like to add extras like chopped onion, dried cranberries, celery, and SAUSAGE!   If you've never had stuffing with sausage in it you have not lived. . . 

Stove Top Baby !!!!   I seriously LOVE Stove Top - so does my brother ....

My mom stopped making homemade stuffing because we preferred the stove top ...

Ive only had one home made stuffing I liked and it was DH's uncles wifes ...and she isn't speaking to most of DH's family so I wont be eating that again any time soon

buttered & toasted pumpernickel rye bread, cubed

apples, red onion, and hazelnuts spiced with salt, pepper, and sage sauteed on the stove

mix well with the bread, scoop into a baking dish, moisten with chicken stock, and bake :D

No gravy, and never in the bird- it just doesn't come out the same imo, aside from health risks.

MB - what kind of sausage do you put in your stuffing?

last thanksgiving, we made stove top, but we made it with CHORIZO! deeeeeelicious! might have to do that again this year....

our family makes our stuffing homemade and since we are from new orleans, we often put seafood in our stuffing/dressing (like shrimp or crabmeat)! :-) no gravy and we usually do not put it in the turkey.

Home made or stovetop! I can not stuff the turkey with it though. Just to know that it is cooking inside raw meat makes me gag. lol sorry if that was TMI.
