OMG!!! Knowing me & my luck, my water will break at the most unfortunate time in the most public of places!

Most women (I think I've read it's like 85%) don't have their water break prior to going into labor. And if it does for the far majority of those it's like a small trickle- many women think they are leaking pee. Nothing like in the movies. With my dd my water broke at home before labor had started and it was quite a bit of fluid but still probably not enough that if I was out and about fully clothed it would have gone everywhere. So definitely don't worry about that- chances are it won't be an issue at all.

@Mar.............I seriously dont want to have to call Facilities where I work......clean up on 4th floor...LOL

Two of my friends had their water break before labor but both were working at home.  So I figure, to avoid that dreading scenario, I’ll just work from home two weeks prior to my due date.  BUT I do get scared though.  I currently have a slight cough and sometimes I have that “oops” moment.  Then I worry that it might be the trickle from my water breaking!

Here's my stupid question:

Would you take your MIL to the u/s check?

@swissgirl - I would :) I love my MIL! I would take my mom first though...

@swissgirl - NO!  But I bet she will try to weasel her way in lol.  Don't get me wrong, I love her and she's sweet as can be, but I am shy and private and it would be too uncomfortable for me.  My SIL (her other son's wife) let her go but only b/c she is too nice to say no.  I am not nice :)

I might take mine, but like Mar, not at the expense of my own mom :-)

(I'm not taking my mother either.  And DH will be the only one in the room at the hospital too.)

Ditto MNM!! Only DH Can be with me. And my second choice companion would be my sister. But that's it.
