I want to have a very romantic centerpiece for the reception with Hydrangeas adn blush pink roses in a tight round shape.  However, I am trying to keep my floral budget down.  Has anyone heard of replacing the hyrangeas for any other flower, like carnations?  or any flower for that matter.  Your suggestions are valued!

Carnations are beautiful flowers that when used in abundance can be amazing !! Very easy on the wallet as well.
