I am planning out my invitations right now and need some help on what papers I should use. Trying to be cost effective, I would like to be able to get some swatches of metalic papers for the backing of my invitations. Im thinking about gold or bronze, of which the hues could vary greatly!

What brand did you use?

I used the Paper Mill Store and was really happy with it. They have a huge selection and the cardstock I ordered arrived really quickly.

I second the Paper Mill Store, they had the largest selection of cardstock colors I could find. They were also really great to work with.

www.paper-source.com and www.lcipaper.com were other sites I looked at.

Good luck!

I used Paper Source. They have every color and the staff is very friendly. We used three layers of paper. We used the Chocolate #10 flat cards with the metallic Stardream Mars red text paper on top. For text portion, we used the Luxe Cream 210g text paper.

Septbride, what's the difference between Stardream Text and Stardream Cover, do you know?

The difference is the weight of the paper - text is lighter (80#) and cover is heavier (95#)...

I LOVE Papersource - but you pay a premium for all that adorable-ness. If you need a lot of paper, I think you can save money by shopping elsewhere.

Hey Kohler...I bought all of my paper from Paper-source. I compared prices a bit and because I was ordering a TON, I ended up getting free shipping ($250+ = free shipping). That saved me a bundle. HTH.

I have an awesome printer so I did mine DIY with stuff from the local craft store. I bought a premium invitation kit with pearlized pocketfolders, invitations, gold bordered insert cards for directions, menu, and map and all the ribbons and coordinating bellybands. I used a 50% coupon I printed off the internet. Then I bought crystals from artbeads to hang on the ribbons.

I bought all of my paper for programs, placecards, menus, etc. from http://www.paperandmore.com/. I did quite a bit of research and they had the best prices. Paper Source is wonderful for research and for actually touching/feeling the paper, though paperandmore.com also has an option where you can buy samples for pretty cheap.

Let me know if you get confused about paper weights, etc.. I did so much research on that and I've love to help out with my newfound knowledge- I had no clue it was so complicated! :)
