Champagne Punch

Champagne Punch Ingredients 3 photo 3351708-1

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons grenadine
  • 3 tablespoons Cointreau
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 3/4 cups champagne
  • Raspberries, apples, or other seasonal fruit

Directions:

Fill a small ice bucket halfway with ice. Pour grenadine, Cointreau, brandy, and champagne over ice. Stir gently, and ladle punch into 2 wide-mouthed stemmed glasses. Garnish punch with raspberries, apples, or any other fruit in season.

 

Sauternes and Frozen Stone Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1 large peach (about 7 ounces)
  • 2 medium apricots (about 2 ounces each)
  • 1/3 cup peach nectar
  • 1 cup chilled Sauternes

Directions:

  1. Pit and cut peach and apricots into 1/4-inch dice. Divide fruit evenly among 16 sections of an ice cube tray. Add 1 teaspoon peach nectar to each section (just enough to cover fruit). Freeze, about 6 hours.
  2. Put 4 fruit cubes into each of 4 chilled wine glasses. Pour 1/4 cup chilled Sauternes into each glass. Let stand 5 minutes.

 

Pineapple and Mango Rum Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 small ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed (about 2 cups), plus 1/2 mango cut into slices with skin, for garnish
  • 4 ounces best-quality golden rum
  • 4 cups fresh pineapple juice (from a 4 1/2-pound pineapple)
  • Fresh tropical fruit, such as dragon fruit and star fruit, for garnish

Directions:

Puree mangoes, rum, and 1/2 cup water in a blender. Pour 2 ounces puree into each of six 12-ounce glasses. Fill glasses with ice, and top off with pineapple juice. Garnish with tropical fruit.

 

Watermelon Punch (LOVE this one)

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups seeded watermelon, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups white vermouth
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 3 cups crushed ice
  • Edible pansies, for garnish

Directions:  Place watermelon, vermouth, and sugar in a blender; process until watermelon has been liquefied, about 10 seconds. Add ice; process 3 seconds more. Garnish with pansies, and serve in chilled glasses.

I love Martha... even if she is a bit crazy... her stuff is fantastic. I guess though that it probably means that I love the people who work for her more than her actually lol
