i still have five more weeks of school, but i have some serious summer fever right now! i can't wait to be done with grad school and take some down time to enjoy all the fun summery activities around the city!

we always try to do Shakespeare in the Park, free outdoor movies (Bryant Park or on the Hudson River), free concerts in Central Park and Prospect Park. 

this year, i really want to do Midsummer Night Swing! every time we plan to go, something interferes, but i am determined to go this year!

what are some of your favorite NYC summer activities?

Baseball games! I love going to Citifield for some Shake Shack and watching the game. I still haven’t been to Yankees Stadium yet but that’s mainly bc I’m not a Yankees fan. But nothing beats a good ‘ol game at the ballpark!

Other things I love to do in the summer is to go running around Central Park in those New York Road Runners races, followed by a scrumptious brunch then back at the park to lay out on the Great lawn.

I’ve gone to a couple Shakespeare in the Park plays but recently I’ve been having trouble getting up early enough to stand in line for the tickets. Maybe I’ll try again this year.

oh yes! i would definitely like to try to go to a baseball game or two this summer. we haven't been to either of the new stadiums yet. mmmm shake shack...

Yesterday i FINALLY biked through Central Park! I almost died but I did :)

congrats on the bike ride!  i recently did the corporate challenge run and almost died too!

those hills are killer! that's another thing we need to do... need to get the bikes out of storage and go for a ride!

@jean - any luck with the shakespeare lotto? i've never tried getting tix that way. we always suck it up and wait in the park. it's a nice way to spend a morning tho. we bring blankets, chairs, food, games, etc.

*sigh* no luck yet and I've been trying on every weekday possible.  if we dont get for another week or so then you'll have to spend a weekend getting up early to get them.
