Survey: Who chose Bridesmaid Dresses

My girls chose! I wanted a modern, chic celebration- no traditional matchy-matchy! I asked each to choose a cocktail dress in mostly navy and everyone looked gorgeous and stylish!

I chose their dresses - the MOH dress was from the same designer, but a different style!  I definitely asked for their input in terms of budget (which was the most important thing for me!), style and what they'd feel comfortable wearing.  I was very blessed though because my girls were up for pretty much anything and were so easy to please.  :)

My Grandma made my bridesmaid dresses, so I went out with her and we chose a pattern and the fabric and then I just sent the girls the picture! Luckily they all loved the dresses.

I had one girl that was very nervous about the dress. She is full figured and never went to any of her proms. She was very nervous to be in a strapless dress.

I took her and my sister (how is a size 6) to the dress shop and had them both try on dresses, so I could see how they would look on two different body frames.

We found a dress they both loved! When I showed the dress to my MOH, she was like "oh thank goodness it is not another strapless dress!" LOL

I chose mine! Both of my girls didn't mind at all - they just wanted me to be happy. That was actually a really easy part of my wedding!

For my wedding I let them pick both but I did list 5 colors

When I was a BM for my SIL's wedding she chose dress and shoes, but the shoes did not and would not fit me. She really did not have a choice, but let me find a pair that would fit. I was a 9.5 double wide at the time.

When I was MOH the first time I wore what she wanted down to the shoes (divorced year later)

The second time I was MOH for her I picked Dress and Shoes she is still married. I kind of expected this and I really wish she had not divorced him.

Vow Renewal - I am not having attendants, so people will wear what they want. My sister is the officiant and she is also going to wear what she wants.

For my sisters wedding I will be her photographer and she said I could wear what ever I wanted from one of the BM's gowns to a Suit. I am going with a Tunic and pant in her colors. So that I can feel dressy and yet not worry about a dress for those low angle shots. I hope to be a size 12/14 by then!

I let my girls chose there own gowns. They knew the colour that I wanted and My only stipulation was that they be from the same company and same fabric so that they would match. I wasn’t picky about length but wanted them to both be the same (i.e. all tea, long, short etc)

They were able to find different dresses that matched each other (and there own body types and personalities) perfectly.
