we haven't discussed this week's performances and eliminations! what did you all think?

i loved the quickstep! but i guess it is still the kiss of death.... 

i also really liked the broadway number. i was excited to see andy blankenbeuhler on the show. i absolutely love his choreography. i remember going to dance conventions when i was in high school (years ago....) and attending his workshops. his choreo was always so fun to do!

channing and victor's contemporary was pretty lackluster to me. the contemporary pieces are starting to look the same... i miss mia michaels :(. i hope we see more pieces by sonia and travis!!!

in the hustle, kevin was totally reminding me of the character Leroy from the original FAME movie. watching him in that performance, i actually forgot that he was a hip hop dancer!

and the salsa was horrible.... mollee and nathan are adorable, but they haven't impressed me at all thus far. i knew they wouldn't be in the bottom 3, but i was hoping that they would be, just for a kick in the pants.

as for eliminations, i was sad to see the last tapper go, but i suppose it had to be done. i liked pauline also, but i think it was the right choice among the bottom 3.

I also agreed with the choices who got sent home ...

And I had the same thought about mia ... They praise Stacey Tookey every time she choreographs but this is the 2nd time one of her routines reminded me specifically of past Mia Numbers both in concept and in style ...   I want more SONYA!!!!  :)

Molly and Nathan are squeaking by on popularity ... we all know this

I am so impressed with Russell .... and I like several of the females ...

But I agree I think this whole season is turning out a bit lackluster ......

And every week I am hoping Paula shows up in the 4th chair :)

I agree that this season is proving to be very underwhelming.  So far I haven't really connected to any of the dancers nor have I been wowed by any performance like I was last season.  Maybe it's because the seasons are back to back? idk.  Also the choreography this season is very uninspired.  Nothing is striking me as original or amazing.

I thought the Salsa was painful to watch.  Molly was just soooo awkward and uncomfortable.  She is a little girl trying to be sexy but she is obviously still very uncomfortable with her self.  She's spunky but i wouldn't be sad to see her go.

Although I didnt' love the hip hop routine with Ryan and Lorena, (is that her name?), I didn't think it was THAT horrible.  certainly not as bad as the Salsa.

I actually liked Channing and Victor's performance but agree that the choreography was somewhat unoriginal.  But I honestly think they looked great doing it.  I so wish Mia would be a guest choreographer.  sigh.  And I'm definitely looking forward to more Sonya and Travis routines.

I thought the African Jazz number and the one with the cane were entertaining and memorable but not mind blowing.

I feel bad for Karen.  She's a great dancer and I think she's super sexy but something about her is very forgettable.  Or maybe it's just the dances she's had so far.  But nothing she's done really stands out in my mind.

Meowkers -  Ellenore danced with Ryan .... and for some reason i really love Channing ... :)
