Hey girls,

Does anyone know of any cool blogs or sites for teachers? I'm looking for creative ways to decorate classroom, art ideas, lessons etc?

I have no idea where to begin! lol I snuck a peek at my neighboring teacher's classroom and was totally jealous of how creative she is.... and I got nothing! lol

I don't know much about this one, but it looks pretty cool: http://teacherlingo.com/

What level are you teaching?  I absolutely love going to 'teacher stores' and looking around at all the cool decorating stuff.  The one near here is called Beyond the Blackboard... don't know if you have one of those!

Oooh that looks perfect!! I'll see what I can find on there!! lol Thanks so much!

I'm teaching Grade 3! Its my first year and I'm nervous, scared and excited all at the same time! I want to be armed with as much info and ideas as possible....lol

We don't have that store here :( It sounds awesome though.... I might have to do some digging to see what cool stores we might have though!!!

This is a great site for interactive bulletin boards.  The professor required the students take a picture of it in action and all of the materials to replicate the activity are included.  When we start school up again (Sept 7th) I can check and see what I have saved at school.

also has other bb site links.  I teach high school and always have an interactive bulletin board in my classroom.  The administrators love it because a lot of times this is a teaching method overlooked in the upper levels.

That's awesome Girlly :)  I'm sure you'll be GREAT!  I teach 5th-12th grade orchestra, so I'm totally all over the place and barely get to decorate as much as I'd like...

Good luck with the start of the school year!! :)

If you ever want to feel inferior, check out this teachers website:

lol - it is amazing!! I don't know how she has the time/energy/money to keep her website running and all of the amazing things she does in her classroom. It's gear towards primary though, I'm not sure what your focus is. Good luck!

Google any phrase you're looking for and click on images.  I used to have my student teachers go to the Library and they would come back with amazing results.  One googled 'bulletin board ideas' and up popped several great sites.  Use the 'images' option. I teach 7th grade math and needed a game dealing with fractions.  I googled 'fraction math games' and up popped super cool sites. Keep google in the back of your head.  Remember, when in doubt..google.  Best wishes to you!!
