My temps are still above my cover line from last cycle.  Is that common?

I did some google searches and I am getting lots of conflicting info (conflicting info on the internet? NO WAY! LOL).  I'd love to know if anyone on PW has experienced this - I don't know why, but I tend to trust PW ladies more than those other sites, lol

Oh me too, I'd rather hear it from the girls here than any place else.  I just don't get why they didn't drop?

That is interesting, I did a chart overlay of mine and it seems like sometimes it takes a day or two to really tank, but my clearly drop below the cover at that point.  Typically I'll have a day of light flow then two heavy and then just spotting.  It seems to fall off the chart once the heavy day comes, but I always count the light day as the start of a new cycle.  Here is my chart overlay, where you can see I have a pretty clear pattern, though obviously not exact.  Note that the one that seems to depart was done with a regular digital thermometer, which is why it is so far off the others.  Didn't get the basal delivered in time to start that cycle, so I just used the reg one all the way through to be consistent.

BTW - have you tested just to be sure?  I mean, I know it is not terribly common but some women do get bleeding that seems like AF but it turns out they are actually pregnant.

Okay, that is really neat!

I have a question:  If you count your first light day as the day of the new cycle, but your temp doesn't drop below the cover line until the heavy day, how do you adjust that in FF?

I had one month where I started spotting the day before, but my temp didn't drop until the next day and that is when I really started bleeding...I still noted the spotting on my chart, but FF didn't set my CD1 until my temp had actually dropped....?

So FF will adjust my CD based on a temp drop?  I'm on CD3 and it seems to definitely be AF even though my cramps dont feel like my normal cramps.

Well, I only had that one month where AF started the day before the drop (which means it probably dropped sometime in the middle of the day since I started spotting in the after noon).  So maybe it was just that one weird month for me, but FF made the day of my temp drop CD1, not the day I noted the spotting.  Every other month my temp was down and within a few hours I had bleeding - this is my 4th month charting, I am supposed to start AF tomorrow, but I am watching for spotting, just in case.

So did FF start a new chart for you based on your bleeding?

Yeah as soon as I listed Light bleeding, they charted it CD1.

I think the only way you could change it in FF is to take out the flow info for that day. For me, when I say light, I mean more than spotting but not out of control.  When I say heavy I mean HEAVY.  There is no middle ground with me.  It's a bit weird, but that is why I count the light day as day 1 (and FF has always done the same).  FF just started the new chart as normal on what shows above as CD15.  Also, I should note that during AF you can see my temps are all over the place - but the first real day I get any flow, the temp just tanks compared to the elevated level I have after ovulation.  I don't know if it is so dramatic b/c I tend to rise almost a full degree above cover post-O or if that is "normal."

As a side note, I tried to quickly scan TCOYF to see if I could find anything in there, but nothing jumped out at me.  I did it during a study break though, so I may have missed something.  I'll check again later if I can, but I have a bunch of essays I need to write tonight in preparation for the bar.

Yeah mine is still really high, my coverline temp is at 97.3 and I charted 97.7 this morning.  It's gradually going down, but no significant drop.
