Hi there!
First of all, when you texturized, did they do your whole head or just the new growth? You really shouldn't double process - i.e. put a chemical over a chemical. It's not good for your hair. If you are going to switch over to a new chemical
process, you should either grow all your new growth out, snip off the relaxed ends, and then start the texturizer process.
I'm pretty sure this is why you're experiencing breakage.
You can try a protein treatment to stop/slow breakage. ORS Hair Mayo, Motions CPR, and Elasta QP's SoyOl are three I use, but look around for one that works well for your hair. A lot of times, beauty supply stores will have sample
packs for like $1-2, that way you don't have to buy the whole $10 bottle and find out it doesn't work for your hair. You can also make your own protein conditioner using an egg, your favorite conditioner, and your favorite oil.
Oil is not a moisturizer. Oil simply seals in moisture. I'd say you need to find a balanced moisturizer. I can't give recommendations because I don't know anything about your hair, but most time texturizers have a moisturizer as part of the
line. For example, S-Curl is a texturizer brand and they have a spray moisturizer as part of the line.
I would also check out some hair boards like LongHairCareForum.com. I've learned so much. There is a fee to post, but no fee to read and soak up the knowledge. BlackHairCareMedia.com is another one. I believe they are free to post and read.
Good luck! Let me know if you have any more questions!
