Girls.. Have you sent your "Thank You's" out yet??

Also, what do you plan on writing to someone (in most cases "everyone") when they gave you money/checks?

Yes, I've sent mine..think was around the 5 week mark with an engagement pic included...I wanted to wait on wedding pro pics, but i didnt even get them til about 7 weeks out, then by the time I ordered  I figured it would be too late...

In regards to money gifts..."thank you for your generous gift(or monetary gift)" and tell them how its going to be used, maybe toward redecorating your home" ----but of course even if you used it to pay bills or debt- dont tell them that, lol

LOL... "Thank you for your generous gift.. It was used to pay rent" ;)

I sent out mine with wedding photos at the end of July, but I think you're allowed a few months...I didn't know what to say to the money gifts either, and ended up with something like "Thank you so much for coming to our wedding celebration last month, and for your generous gift of $--, which will help to support our life together."

We are almost done writing them.  We are just waiting on getting pro-pics so we can pick and print a shot. Then they will get sent out. But we have kind of spread the word that we are waiting for pro pics so people aren't wondering.

oh for the money/cheques - We are saving for a really good dining set so in the cards we put something along the lines of "thank you for your monetary gift- we are planning on buying a dining set and you gift is helping get there"

I am thinking of saying something like "Thank you for your generous gift!  It will definitely be helpful in our new home together.... etc!"  
I for sure wouldn't say thank you for your gift of 50 bucks!  haha  Just say Thanks for the monetary gift or something!  :)

mine are long sent out lol i sent those babies out ASAP!  i was SO sick of all things wedding, I just wanted it out of my hair!  here they are: front

and almost all of them said:

"Thank you so much for your generosity, it will be put to good use as we turn our new apartment into a home!"  or something cheesy along those lines ;)

Gah, I've been working on mine for weeks...I really don't mind working on them but they are just coming along so slowly...I hope I can get them out by the end of the month!  LOL.  I just put "Thank you for your generous gift.  We are hoping to eventually _________, so thank you for contributing to that fund! :)" 

No we haven't done ours. Gah.
