I wrote our speech tonight. What do you think?
I know it's not customary for the bride to give a speech at the wedding, but as I heard a lot while growing up "Is she still talking??," we all know I love to
talk and Jesse balances me out nicely by not being as talkative. We wanted to take a moment more of your time before letting you get to the bar and dancing - you all did bring your dancing shoes right...we want to say thank you for coming all this
way to be a part of this day. We know most of you had to travel and it means a lot that you'd sacrifice your time - on a holiday weekend, and your money with gas being basically $4 a gallon, to be here. You are all our closest friends and family and
we could not imagine a better start to our married life than spending it with you. We are so happy to have such wonderful family and friends around us on this momentous occasion.
First, to the people that helped make this wedding possible - Our coordinator Darcie, photographer Karen, DJ Dean, banquet manager Sherri and
delicious dessert maker Heather - you are all amazing at what you do and we are forever grateful to you for all that you've done to make the wedding of our dreams a reality. You have put up with all of our requests and made them happen like it was no
trouble at all. You have calmed me down when I've stressed, been there to answer our questions and then worked your magic today. We couldn't have asked for more and have been recommending you to every bride and groom we know and will continue to do
so.
Steve and Alice - thank you for raising a fanatastic son. It is because of you that I now have this amazing husband!
Mom and Dad - thank you for raising me to become the woman I am now, worthy enough of this amazing man standing next to me.
I know that all you four have ever wanted for us in life is to be happy, no matter what, and I just want to thank you as our dreams have come
true and we have never been happier. We love you!
To our bridal party - thank you for agreeing to stand up with us today. We know it's a time and financial commitment and we are appreciative
that you agreed to be part of it because we couldn't imagine it any other way. You are the best bridal party we could ask for!
And to all of our family and friends who were able to come here this weekend - thank you thank you thank you!! We are so excited you could
come! We hope you enjoy yourselves because while we got married today it's also about all of you because we wouldn't be the people we are without each of you in our lives.
I ask now that everyone raise their glasses to toast my new husband, family and friends. Everyone in this room has in some way made this day
possible, and unforgettable. We Love you All!
