Are you planning to serve heavy hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, or a seated dinner?

Or are you planning something else? (brunch, dessert reception, etc.)

We are planning on light hors d'oeuvres and a seated dinner. I really hate buffets just because I am clumsy enough in heels and don't need to try balancing a plate! We are going to have an open bar. I also would like to have a candy buffet or maybe diy smores because our wedding is in the mountains...What about everyone else?

We are also planning on passed hors d'oeuvres and a station for cocktail hour followed by heavy hors d'oeuvres and stations. We've also just learned that we'll be able to have an open bar.  We're so pleased!

We're also planning to have a dessert bar.  =)

Planning a family style dinner. I really want to have the guests feel "at home" :)

I want to try to do a family style dinner, except I don't know if it will be possible with my venue. But if they don't we will have a buffet (even though I hate buffet).

Seated dinner. Luckly my dad is the sous chef at a resturaunt and the owner has offered to cater the wedding for free :)

Im planning to do family style dinner also. I would love to either have a cookie/pie/cake buffet or an ice cream buffet towards the end of the night.

I am hoping for a sit down dinner.

We are planning a BBQ/picnic. Our caterer is designing a menu with things like side of salmon, roast beef and various salads and will then be BBQing various cuts of meat and some fish. We are having a lunch time reception, we probably would have hired our favourite restaurant for a sit down meal otherwise

Since we're doing a DW, we'll probably have a dinner at the ceremony location. Then either a buffet or tons of appetizers at the ARH. I feel like people get bored at sit down dinners, and I want everyone to be able to mingle. Plus, I like options.
