I had to read this book in school as part of women's studdies and let me say that is not the half of it!
My Dad to this day says that the reason this economy is in shambles is because women work. We all need to go back home and take care of the kids.

Let's just say this is one reason my husband is the exact opposite of him!! We have been married nearly 19 years and he does the dishes and the laundry I do the bathrooms. Part of the laundry issue is I am disabled and am not able to go up and
down the stairs anymore. That happened in our 3rd year of marriage after a car wreck. Another great point my husband had to take care of me when I was sick because I could not do anything.
My mother had major surgery and my father would not do anything to help her. When she was again able to move she found the house a complete disaster. Dishes, floors everything.
So, yes, this is still going on today.
