ok, so I've asked this before but I'm still unsure so I thought I would ask my Canadian ladies.

I originally really, really, really wanted gold chiavaris - they were such an important part of the decor for me! And we budgeted them in (they will be another $600 over the cost of the chair covers) so it's not like we can't afford them. BUT now as the expenses start adding up here and there, I'm really wondering if they are necessary? Maybe that money would be better used elsewhere?

What do you think? Here is a pic of the ballroom with the lights dimmed down - which is how it'll be during the dinner/dancing.

If they're a huge part of the decor for you then I say go for it since you already budgeted for them. I also think it'll help "warm" up the room :)

Beautiful venue!  I'd go for them if you budgeted for them and if your budget isn't too out of control.  I think either would look good though, in all reality people don't ohh and ahh over the chairs all night, its usually the happy couple! ^_^  Good luck.

I definitely second the chivari chairs! If you've budgeted for them and they were important to you to begin with - stick with your initial feelings and go with it - you don't want to regret it later on - even though they are chairs and no one might remember them - but at least it will make u happy in knowing the decor is what you wanted.

I think it would give the room a warmer more romantic feel. Less "banquet-y" lol

But you are the only one who can truly evaluate the value of them. Is there something else you would rather spend the money on? Is it something you have always wanted, one of your "must haves"?

I got those chairs as a part of my package and I love the feel they will give the room.  If you can still squeeze it in the budget I'd go for it!

I am a self proclaimed chair snob...I remember going to a wedding when I was in middle school and thinking it was such a pretty wedding, but had these ugly red chairs!  I think that's where it all began.  I also have a huge adversion to carpets (you should have seen how hard it was picking a weddig venue)!

Anyway, it sounds like chairs were really important to you so if you can fit them in I would...but I am pretty sure most (normal) people will not have such strong feelings! If your priorities have shifted and you want to use the money somewhere else then I think that is fine too.  I think the chairs would look beautiful in that venue, but I also think chair covers would be nice too. 

I would defenitively go for the chairs, I am very picky about the chairs as well and if it is something that you want, I say go for it! although most people don't notice the charis, I think they do have an impact of the overall decor of the place!

LOL it really is a great debate!  I'm debating about Chiavaris chairs now too!

I took a look at the mock pics for your centerpieces and they are very nice! with those in mind, i would defenitively go with the Chiavari chairs, i love them!! I've seem some pictures of those chairs with a little bow or tull and they look gorgeous!!
