I call them Momma _____(her first name) and Papa ______ (his first name).  They asked me to call them Mom and Dad, but it does feel a little strange!

I dont think I ever say their names to get their attention. Its more like I just start talking without having to say their names. However, in emails and when talking about them I call them by their first names.

My IL's also asked me to call them mom and dad but those words have yet to come out of my mouth... Its not even that I find it strange or that I dont want to call them that but its just akward to me to actually SAY it.

I've always called DH's parents Mr. or Mrs. D but now that we are married I feel like I should call them by their first names. It feels weird but I'm sure I'll get used to it. MIL mentioned me calling her mom but I just don't want to do that. DH still hasn't started calling my parents' by their first names. LOL It's funny to hear him on the phone saying Mr. or Mrs. Houlihan.
