So for some of us our men are having a wedding to please us. What are you doing or thinking about doing at the wedding or RD to show that there is something about him in the wedding?

Well, my groomzilla is pretty much giving the yay or nay on everything, so I think it should be flipped around for me! I'm just in charge of getting what he wants done! ;o)

My FI isn't having a wedding to please me, but to show him that I know him, his personality, and what he likes I am presenting him with a grooms cake at the RD. Also the ice sculpture during our cocktail hour represents one of his family members.

We planned the wedding together - he left the details up to me, but since I asked him what he thought every step of the way he still had a say in everything.  :P

I am doing a XBox groom's cake that will have two of his favorite games, Call of Duty and Monster Hunter Freedom, the Xbox headset, his cell phone and a can of Energy drink all made out of cake at our rehearsal dinner, and I also have a surprise for him, that I have not told anybody, not even PW...he is going to be blown away!

For my Fi the cake topper is going to be recreations of his favorite hobby. He will have a grooms cake at the wedding. Hopefully I can make habenero chocolates to further represent his taste. (He loves all things spicy.) Rum and Coke will be served. It is his favorite. I'm hoping to get him personalized cuff links and shoes for all his groomsmen. My garter is going to be Colts. (His favorite team) I'm working really hard to make him feel like it is his wedding too, although I can't even get him to pick his groomsmen.

He's not having the wedding solely to please me, he's getting excited too! But that's not to say he wouldn't have been perfectly fine eloping :)

Because of his affinity for John Deere and the fact that everyone jokes about 1) Jake loves his tractors more than me or 2) he'll have to sell a tractor to pay for the wedding...

... I decided to have a groom's cake made for the RD in the shape of a JD tractor. I want to thank him in my speech for letting me have my way with the wedding, for putting complete trust in me that I would put together a great day. And then acknowledge that there is not a lot of him reflected in the pink and green theme...and then wheel out the cake as a little nod to something of him!

The groom's cake and garter will reflect his personality. I am giving him some special gifts before the wedding, and also something else at the reception. I am also making sure he invites as many of his friends as he wants, so that he can have an enjoyable night.

We just say that the wedding is for me, and the reception is for him :)

We're making the cake toppers together, picking music and food together, he's picking his own and groomsmen's attire, dj and transportation.  I know he doesn't care about flowers, linens and other such girly stuff, so I will handle that.
