We'll tomorrow I have an appt with two places.  Fiance is going back and forth on the date he wants, and I'm getting frustrated, so I told him he has until tomorrow morning to decide.  I need to tell the places a date! He's saying now that he wants to fly his sister in so I don't know when our date is right now.  Hopefully he can decide soon!

Hope you guys settle on a date soon! I know it will be nice to just have something nailed down.

If it does end up happening in April, I think Maggiano's would be a fantastic option! DH and I briefly considered doing a 30-40 guest destination wedding in Las Vegas, and Maggiano's was at the top of our list. (Go figure, with all the casinos! LOL) They just had so many fun, creative options for a group that size. Great choice!

Well, we're meeting with Maggiano's today, but my fiance has found a place that we are both in love with and could possibly work really well in our budget! The Vineyards in Simi Valley.  It is a little farther than we wanted, but he's pretty much sold.  I still want to see what Maggiano's has to offer, and then meet with the Vineyards and compare.  I do like that it's a little more like a "wedding" venue, and not a resturaunt, but we'll see.  He says that if we choose there, he will go with whatever they have available and work with it because he loves it that much. Well, he loves the price that much, I love the place! haha.  Have any of you had any experience with the Vineyards? It's really beautiful!

The Vineyards does have GREAT reviews - you can read those here on PW among other places, http://www.projectwedding.com/vendor/show/the-vineyards-at-calamigos-in-simi-valley  It looks beautiful!

We met with Maggiano's today, and I'm 99% sure it's the place I want.  The one we have here in LA is so beautiful...It has an old timey, 1930's feel....very classy with chandaliers and wood on the walls....the price is right, and if we have our wedding in March, our minimum we have to spend is only $900! That gives us so much room to add extras.  Fiance still wants to look at the Vineyards, but I don't wanna pass this place up.  The Vineyards are beautiful, but they havent returned my calls or emails and it seems a little big.  But he wants to see it and who knows, I might fall in love with it.  But like I said, I'm 99% sure we're going with Maggianos! I'm so so happy. The lady we talked to today was so helpful and totally accomodating to what I wanted to make it ours.  I just really fell in love with this place....I've never eaten there, but I get to go to the tasting and my fiance and his mom eat there a lot on their "momma and son dates" (He's the biggest momma's boy in the world, I swear) And they both say it's amazing food.  Most everything is included, all I have to worry about is a dress, and my DIY centerpieces and favors, which won't be hard with my small guestlist and only 4 tables in the room.  I'm sold.  The ceremony would be on this balcony/terrace that is attached to the reception room.  It's really perfect especially with how small our party is.  I'm so happy I booked this appt because I was second guessing this place, but I'm SO SO SOOO happy I gave it a chance.  I think it's going to be perfect! <3
