Just thought this would be fun and be interesting to Mummy's to be to say the things we have all learnt!!!

If you have a Csection your milk may not come in due to the hormones

To stop baby poo staining clothes soak on cold water and add a scoop of vanish to the wash.

Baby can switch between BF and bottle with no trouble

I will think of more later so add your thought ...... H x

This is a great idea!!  I have a couple to add..

- During midnight feedings, babies have a 6th sense on zeroing in on a nipple without opening their eyes (...amazing..and highly comical)

- Cooing and other baby talking noises don't start right away.

- There are "different" types of cries

- Gas is the enemy.

Great thread, Hazel!!

Kathy- gas is DEFINITELY the enemy!

My add ons:
*you can do anything one-handed
*if they have gas, you love to hear them fart
*being pee'd and poo'd on is no biggie
*you don't need much sleep to function

* When you go out for lunch with baby you automatically zone in on the salad section of the menu because it's the only thing that won't go cold if you have to stop eating to deal with baby!!

I still remember when my boys were a bit older and I managed to eat an entire hot meal while it was still hot!! One of my girlfriends had a younger one and it became a standing joke that when I accomplished something (like sleeping through the night etc) she knew she had around 8 weeks left before she could too!! Lol

*Sleep deprivation is NO JOKE - people can tell you how it will be but you don't really know the truth until you are in it!!!

*Poops are a BIG deal - never thought "Yay for poopie" would ever come out of my mouth

*Burping is so important!

* I should wear a shirt that says, "Will sniff anything...for nothing"

* A baby smile erases all stresses from the day

* Skipped meals is my new diet...and it wasn't on purpose.

*Sunning items also removes poo stains

*Your love for this precious little person is beyond anything you can imagine

*Cold meals are the new thing! I used to think it wouldn't be a problem to eat my    food while it's still hot, but I've since learned better, lol! (It's not so bad, ok, it isn't  great, but it's not the end of the world! : )

*White noise is your friend (most of the time!)

Jenn- my latest sleep deprivation moment was yesterday morning while dh, samuel & went out for breakfast. When my food arrived, I looked at it and thought the server got it wrong. I mentioned to dh that it wasn't what I ordered & he said ”yes, you did. I heard you!" :P

Your feet become your second set of hands

A wet wipe or burp cloth can be a lifesaver

down time is a thing of the past... I don't think I've had any since I gave birth.
