this weekend

This weekend we are putting up our Christmas tree and also our St Nicholas square village. This is the first year that we have a village to put up. I am very excited to put up the tree and the village. When are you putting up your Christmas tree and decorations.

We will start decorating next Friday.  We have been talking about this year going to a tree farm and cutting down our own tree.  We'll have to see what happens with that.  : )

We'll start decorating next Friday, as well, though we've already made a few purchases for decorating (bells for our front door and stocking hangers).  I'm on the hunt for a large, red berry wreath that does NOT cost an arm and a leg--we went to Hobby Lobby last night, even with a discount, what we were looking for was going to be $35-$50.  Call me a cheapskate, but I can't see paying that much for a wreath.  We don't have anything on the wall above our fireplace yet, and I thought that would be pretty with the tree next to the fireplace.  

We will start decorating also next week. Can't wait till that because I love Christmas!!! Unfortunately we haven't so much decoration things at the moment as we are still living in a small flat and are still on house hunting. Once we will have a bigger house I can't wait to buy all those great christmas decoration things :)

But our tree have to wait still 2 weeks till we put it up in our living room.

My daughter and her family moved in with me in September and my grandson is 10 months old so although I am happy to see him every day, unfortunately I won't be setting up many decorations and I won't be putting my tree up until the last minute.

this is our christmas village and it is the st.nicholas square from kohls. we have whitr lights behind the blue sheet. to make it look like night. and i turned off the lights. and i got these 2 great pics
